Ontario Express Entry Draw Issued 1,269 PR Invitations

On 12th September 2024, The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued 1,269 invitations for provincial nominations through an Express Entry draw under the Human Capital Priorities (HCP) stream. Specifically, the OINP focused on Express Entry candidates who want to settle in Ontario and have work experience in one of the 43 healthcare-related occupations.

Candidates with Express Entry profiles created between September 12, 2023, and September 12, 2024, who met these criteria and had a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score between 414 and 444, were invited to apply for provincial nomination in this OINP draw. Furthermore, invited candidates now have 45 days to respond to the provincial nomination invitation.

Once the OINP approves a provincial nomination, it adds 600 additional points to the candidate’s CRS score, which boosts the score to between 1,014 and 1,044.

How can I qualify for OINP Express Entry draws?

To be eligible for OINP Express Entry draws, you need a valid Express Entry profile and a plan to move to Ontario.

You don’t need a separate profile for OINP, as it automatically reviews Express Entry profiles and sends notifications of interest to qualified candidates.

However, keep in mind that meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee a notification of interest, and receiving one doesn’t ensure that you meet the stream’s criteria or that your application will be approved. Therefore, it’s important to carefully review the program’s eligibility criteria before responding to a notification of interest.
