PR Pathways open for International Students in New Brunswick

Good News came in for the international students pursuing their studies in the province of New Brunswick as it opened the way to immigrate to New Brunswick by making students eligible for an Express Entry-linked PNP.

What are the Eligibilities to apply for New Brunswick PR Pathways?

Having completed at least a year-long program at any New Brunswick designated institution that is eligible for a PGWP while residing in NB, you are eligible for the apply for an EOI provided you meet all your program criteria, and it has not been more than six months from the date of application. Moreover, if you are pursuing a thesis-based graduate degree, you may apply for an EOI by creating a valid Express Entry profile once your thesis is officially submitted for evaluation.

Firstly, International students must fulfill the NB Express Entry Stream requirements and thereafter, to apply for an Express Entry-linked PNP the students must have a full-time paid work experience in Canada or abroad falling under same NOC as the job you wish to use for your immigration application with,

The duration must be one year or 1,560 hours which is equivalent to part-time, in an occupation that falls under TEER 0, 1, 2 or 4. Along with a language score of CLB 7 (English) or NCLC 7 (French).

Do you require a Job Offer to start your Immigration Procedure in New Brunswick?

A job offer in not required in the cases where you are applying as a student who has completed his/her studies no later than six months from the date of application. Otherwise, you must be an employee working at any organization in NB. Additionally, you can only apply in you intend to live and work in NB or else your application may be rejected for the said program. Bank statements with six-months of transaction history are mandatory for all applicants under the NB Express Entry Stream.
