Scholarships In Canada for International Students: Eligibility Criteria
To get any scholarship in Canada as an international student, one must make sure that they fulfil certain criteria.
- Academic excellence: Applicants for scholarships to study in Canada must ensure that they have good academic scores as most of the scholarships are merit-based.
- Language Proficiency: Non-English-speaking international students have to submit IELTS scores to apply for a scholarship to study in Canada.

The Canadian study permit permits working up to 15 hours per week or 100 hours for the full summer session, with a minimum wage of 14 CAD per hour plus 4% vacation pay. The Canada-ASEAN Scholarships
The Canada-ASEAN Scholarships, introduced by the Canadian Government in 2017 as part of the Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) program, offer short-term study and research opportunities at Canadian post-secondary institutions for students from ASEAN member states. These scholarships align with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Financial rewards vary based on academic level, ranging from $10,200 CAD for undergraduates (four months/one semester) to $12,700 CAD for graduate-level studies (five to six months). To qualify, applicants must be citizens of an ASEAN member nation, enrolled full-time at an ASEAN post-secondary institution, and actively paying tuition fees throughout the application and exchange program period.
