Canada issues 2,095 ITAs in latest Express Entry draw
Earlier this month, On April 10, IRCC issues Express Entry Draw invites 1,280 candidates with a higher minimum CRS score of 549, marking the highest requirement in 2024 and representing a significant increase from the previous draw in March. Additionally, IRCC drew 4,500 STEM occupation candidates with a minimum CRS score of 491.
What is category-based selection?
Category-based selection is a new feature of Express Entry, enabling IRCC to invite candidates from specific occupations or language groups to address specific labor market needs.
What happens when you have created an Express Entry Profile?
When you create an Express Entry Profile, the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) assigns you a score based on various criteria. Achieving the minimum CRS score required for the draw may lead to receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence. Following an ITA, you must submit a complete application within the given timeframe and meet all eligibility requirements.
