Introduction

09/09/2019: Student Direct Stream (SDS) is opened for Senegal and Morocco’s international students. This expanding is especially made to encourage French-speaker students. SDS list now includes India, China, Philippines, Vietnam, Pakistan, Senegal and Morocco.

09/09/2019: A new two-year pilot (09/09/2019- 09/09/2021) allows sponsorship applications for certain family members who would normally be banned from obtaining permanent residence (PR) under Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. This pilot does not apply for Economic Class or any other immigration category that is not includes the below condition:

– The foreign national has applied under Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class or Family Class.

– The foreign national has a sponsor who

• PR status as Convention refugee or similar circumstances
• PR after being deemed as protected person
• Determined under Canada Class or Family Class members as a sponsored spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner, or dependent child

– The foreign national would not have made their sponsor ineligible in the class that the sponsor applied for had they been declared and examined at the time their sponsor immigrated to Canada.

11/09/2019: Nova Scotia opens new Labour Market Priorities for Physicians Stream via Express Entry under Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP). Candidates must have approved Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) or Izaak Walton Killam Health (IWK) and commit to living and working in Nova Scotia for at least two years.

18/09/2019: Saskatchewan has expanded the list of in-demand occupations for both Express Entry and In-Demand Occupation sub-categories, from 19 to more than 200 occupations. Candidates who apply for Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) via Express Entry sub-category can get additional 600 points.

19/09/2019: Prince Edward Island (PEI) issued 122 invitations including 109 for Express Entry and Labour Impact and 13 for Business Impact: Work Permit Stream. PEI has now issued 1,030 invitation so far. The next draw is scheduled for October 17, 2019.

11/09/2019 & 18/09/2019: Alberta invited Express Entry candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores as low as 302 on September 11 and as low as 350 on the second draw in this month on September 18.

04/09/2019 & 18/09/2019: Express Entry draw for permanent residence with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores as low as 463 on September 4 and as low as 462 on the second draw in this month on September 18.

20/09/2019: Quebec has invited 444 foreign workers to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate in a draw held August 19.

25/09/2019: Saskatchewan invited 769 Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence.
