What is the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP)?

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program wants to bring in skilled workers and business owners to help the province. It helps the government find the right people for job openings and works with the federal government to fix any problems in the job market in Alberta.

Background on the Tourism and Hospitality Stream

Alberta’s tourism and hospitality sector is a key driver of economic growth and jobs throughout the province.

The Tourism and Hospitality Stream aims to attract and retain a skilled workforce to the province’s tourism and hospitality industry to support the growth of Alberta’s visitor economy.

In 2022, Alberta saw $10.7 billion in tourism spending—a $600 million increase from 2019.
