IRCC Holds New Express Entry Draw for PNP Candidates
IRCC Invites 534 Candidates in Latest Express Entry PNP Draw
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted another Express Entry draw, inviting 534 candidates through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). This latest draw is good news for many candidates, as the required score is lower than in recent PNP rounds.
Who Received an Invitation?
To receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence, candidates needed to:
- Have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 708
- Create their Express Entry profile before June 4, 2026, at 2:49 p.m. UTC
A Lower CRS Score Than Recent PNP Draws
Moreover, this draw had the lowest CRS cut-off in a PNP draw since November 25, 2025. This may give more hope to candidates waiting for future Provincial Nominee Program invitations.
Express Entry Draws in 2026 So Far
So far, IRCC has held 35 Express Entry draws in 2026. Most of these draws have focused on:
- Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
- French-language proficiency
- Healthcare and social services
- Physicians with Canadian work experience
- Trades
- Senior Managers with Canadian work experience
IRCC Continues to Prioritize Candidates Already in Canada
Additionally, most Express Entry draws in 2026 have targeted candidates who are already living and working in Canada. In particular, IRCC has focused on people with Canadian work experience or a provincial nomination, helping address Canada’s labour market needs.
Nearly 90,000 Invitations Issued in 2026
So far in 2026, IRCC has issued 89,601 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through Express Entry. The largest number of invitations has gone to candidates under the Canadian Experience Class and French-language proficiency categories, followed by healthcare workers, Provincial Nominee Program candidates, trades professionals, physicians, and senior managers.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the latest Express Entry draw shows that Canada continues to welcome skilled immigrants through targeted immigration programs. Furthermore, the lower CRS score in this PNP draw could be an encouraging sign for eligible candidates preparing for upcoming rounds.
