Manitoba Invites 29 Skilled Workers in Latest MPNP Draw
Manitoba Invites 29 Skilled Workers
On October 31, 2025, Manitoba held a new draw under its Skilled Worker Stream of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).
In this round, the province invited 29 skilled workers to apply for a provincial nomination. Most of these candidates already live and work in Manitoba with facilitated work permits.
Who Received the Invitations?
Manitoba sent Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to candidates under two main categories — Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas.
Through its strategic recruitment initiatives, the province actively selected skilled workers who match its current labour market needs.
Breakdown of Invitations
Here’s how the 29 LAAs were divided among different initiatives:
| Strategic Recruitment Initiative | LAAs Issued |
|---|---|
| Employer Services | 4 |
| Francophone Community | 3 |
| Regional Communities | 2 |
| Ethnocultural Communities | 1 |
| Temporary Public Policy (TPP) for Work Permits | 19 |
In addition, 9 candidates had valid Express Entry profile numbers and job seeker validation codes.
Why Some Candidates Weren’t Invited
Some candidates met the basic criteria but still didn’t receive an invitation because they:
- Entered expired or invalid language test numbers, or
- Mentioned an Invitation to Apply (ITA) but missed the correct invitation number.
So, before submitting your Expression of Interest (EOI), always review your details carefully to avoid missing future opportunities.
Understanding Manitoba’s Selection Focus
In 2025, Manitoba continues to focus on strategic recruitment draws to fill high-demand jobs.
The province works closely with employers, regional communities, and cultural organizations to find skilled workers who can settle easily and contribute quickly to the economy.
Support from the Temporary Public Policy (TPP)
This draw also highlighted Manitoba’s ongoing support for candidates eligible under the Temporary Public Policy (TPP).
Through this policy, skilled workers can obtain open work permits (OWPs) while waiting for their provincial nomination.
Both IRCC and the Government of Manitoba support this initiative, helping skilled workers begin their Canadian journey faster.
