30 August 2019

Canada expanded the Student Direct Stream (SDS) to include students from Senegal and Morocco, effective September 9, 2019. Previously, Canada launched SDS in 2018 for applicants from China, India, the Philippines, and Vietnam. As a result, eligible students benefit from faster processing times, often under three weeks.

29 August 2019

Alberta issued 121 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to candidates under the Express Entry stream on August 15. So far, Alberta has issued 3,868 nomination certificates through this pathway.

28 August 2019

Newfoundland and Labrador announced four rounds of Expression of Interest (EOI) for prospective immigrants worldwide. These rounds will run from September 13 to December 13, 2019.

27 August 2019

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) began accepting applications under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream. In this case, both employers and foreign workers must meet all eligibility criteria.

01–15 August 2019

During the first half of August, OINP issued targeted NOIs under the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities (HCP) Stream. Specifically, Ontario targeted candidates in Administrative roles, Business Management, Financial Operations, and Computer & Technical occupations.
