Ontario Express Entry Draw Issued 1,269 PR Invitations

On September 12, 2024, Ontario’s Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued 1,269 invitations under the Human Capital Priorities (HCP) stream. This draw targeted Express Entry candidates with experience in 43 healthcare-related occupations. As a result, Ontario focused on attracting skilled healthcare workers who plan to settle permanently in the province.

Candidates who created their Express Entry profiles between September 12, 2023, and September 12, 2024, and who had a CRS score between 414 and 444, received invitations. Additionally, invited applicants now have 45 days to submit their nomination applications.

After the OINP approves a nomination, the applicant receives 600 extra CRS points. Consequently, the total CRS score rises to 1,014–1,044, which almost guarantees an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for PR.

How Can You Qualify for OINP Express Entry Draws?

To qualify for OINP draws, you must meet several core requirements. First, you need a valid Express Entry profile. Second, you must show a genuine intention to live in Ontario.

You do not need to create a separate profile for OINP. Instead, the province automatically reviews Express Entry profiles and sends Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to eligible candidates.

However, meeting the basic criteria does not guarantee that you will receive an NOI. Likewise, receiving an NOI does not ensure that your final application will be approved. Therefore, always review the eligibility requirements carefully before proceeding.
