Ontario Immigration Boost: 1,666 PR Invitations Issued in July 9th Draw
Latest Ontario OINP Draw – July 9, 2024
Great news for international graduates and future Ontario residents!
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted two draws on July 9, 2024, issuing a total of 1,666 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residency.
Big Win for Masters Graduates
In the Masters Graduate Stream, the OINP issued 1,556 invitations, making it one of the largest draws of the year.
To qualify, applicants needed a minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score of 54.
Additionally, this score reflects a slight increase from the March 19th draw, where the minimum requirement was lower by 2 points.
Consequently, the competition for the Masters Graduate Stream continues to rise.
Positive News for PhD Graduates
There’s also encouraging news for PhD candidates.
OINP invited 110 applicants with an EOI score of 50 or higher.
Compared to the previous draw, this marks an increase of 8 points, showing Ontario’s strong demand for advanced academic talent.
Eligibility Window for This Draw
Only profiles submitted between July 9, 2023, and July 9, 2024, were considered for both streams.
Therefore, new applicants outside this timeframe will need to wait for upcoming rounds.

Why The Master’s Route Remains a Top Option
We continue advising international students and PR hopefuls to explore Ontario’s graduate programs.
Because CRS scores in Express Entry remain high, choosing a Master’s program at a recognized Ontario university can be a reliable pathway to Canadian permanent residency.
Moreover, this option avoids the complications of LMIA processing, employer payrolls, and job-dependent immigration paths.
