4. Application Stages and Timelines
The program rollout happens in two phases.
Stage One begins in September 2023. During this phase, employers in the primary agriculture sector can apply for the 2024 season.
Stage Two starts in January 2024. At this point, employers from all other industries may apply. Both stages remain open until September 2024.
5. Ways to Submit Your Application
Employers can submit REP and LMIA applications in two ways.
First, they may apply through the LMIA Online Portal. This secure platform allows employers to submit applications directly to ESDC.
Alternatively, employers exempt from the portal requirement may submit a PDF application by email.
