New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) Draw

Overview of the NBPNP

The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) operates under an agreement with the Government of Canada. As an economic immigration program, it selects and nominates skilled workers and business professionals from around the world. These candidates settle in New Brunswick and actively contribute to the province’s economy.

New Brunswick Express Entry Draw – July 26, 2019

On July 26, 2019, New Brunswick officially announced on its website that the New Brunswick Express Entry Program would begin accepting Expressions of Interest (EOIs). However, only candidates who met all submission criteria were eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria for Submitting an EOI

To qualify, applicants needed to meet the following requirements:

  • First, the applicant must have an active Express Entry profile. They must provide a valid Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Validation Code on the EOI form.
  • Second, the applicant must be living and working in New Brunswick. In addition, they must submit a letter of employment from their employer with the EOI.
  • Third, the current job must match NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B. The applicant must clearly list the NOC code on the EOI form.
  • Moreover, the applicant must hold a valid Canadian work permit. A PDF copy must accompany the EOI submission.
  • Furthermore, the applicant must present valid language test results. Accepted tests include IELTS, CELPIP, or TEF Canada, with a minimum score equivalent to CLB 7 in all four abilities. A PDF copy of the results was required.
  • Finally, the applicant needed a valid Educational Credential Assessment (ECA). The ECA had to confirm at least the equivalent of a Canadian high school diploma, and a PDF copy had to be included.

Important Notes for Applicants

All invited candidates still had to meet the regular eligibility requirements of the NBPNP. Additionally, they needed to submit a complete and accurate application to receive a provincial nomination.

If an applicant failed to meet any of the listed criteria, they should not submit an EOI. Instead, they were advised to monitor the official NBPNP website for updates. Any EOI submitted without meeting all conditions would be rejected and deleted.

Direct Invitations From the Express Entry Pool

In addition to EOIs, New Brunswick may occasionally invite candidates directly from the federal Express Entry pool. The province issues these invitations in response to specific labour market needs.
